dive into God's word and hear some helpful insight from Francis Chan's small group series Forgotten God!  In his book, Chan wonders what goes through the mind of a caterpillar when it wakes up one day to learn it could fly!  He uses this illustration to explain the change and work of the Holy Spirit in our new life in Christ! Come join us as we take learn to live faithfully today by igniting and rediscovering the Holy Spirit that God sent and has placed within us!

Topic: Defending Your Faith

growthgrouplogo.jpgLeader: Dr. Pat Rogers

Who: All adults & High School Students

When: Wednesday 6:45 PM

Study: We know Christianity is true because of the witness of the Holy Spirit. But how do we show it to be true to others? How do we defend our beliefs when they are challenged?

Skeptics have good questions, but we have even better answers -- and God commands us (1 Peter 3:15) to be ready to give them.  His command applies to us all, not just a few specialists.  We are all commanded to be ready to show that Christianity is true.

This course prepares you to defend your faith with precision and rigor.   You will be prepared to present the truth of the Christian faith in a reasoned, gentle manner, using logical arguments. Not only that, you'll be ready to respond to objections to those arguments, as well as to the arguments against Christianity itself.  Are you ready?  Suggested book: "On Guard", by William Lane Craig (2010).                                                                                                                       Group ID: CG05
